Don-Bur Helps John Lewis with Vehicle Fleet Rebrand
17th October 2018
Last month saw the release of new livery on John Lewis & Partners and Waitrose & Partners commercial fleet which took to the roads for the first time from the Milton Keynes depot. The branding has been realised with the assistance of the Don-Bur Service division who, since April 2017, have been liaising with both the John Lewis Partnership and their design consultancy, Pentagram.
The aesthetics, which tie in with various graphical elements across the John Lewis Partnership, are being applied to the entire fleet both old and new over the next five years. Existing vehicles were cleaned, shot blasted and re-sprayed before application of the high contrast design. In preparation, and to ensure consistency across the fleet, Don-Bur were responsible for applying the new look to a variety of vehicle types including double deck trailers, tractor units, 7.5T and 18T trucks and new pure electric delivery vans.
Sapphire Graphics, a Don-Bur division, provided all the graphical support services and produced the decals for final application by the Service division; an arrangement that provided a fast reacting and close-knit partnership with the John Lewis Partnership.
